The Habit of Success: 3 Levels of Success
Introduction to the habit of success principles How do you define success? The world defines success as “the achievement of something desired or planned”. In my early years on earth I fully bought into this worldly definition of success. But as I grew up I realized that success has little to do with the past but everything to do with the future. I learnt that your past achievements define who you currently are, while your vision has the ability to define who you may be in the future. In my world, a successful person is one who continues to look for work after he/she has found a job. The only time in your life that you are going to feel persuaded to keep on searching for more, is when you fully understand your purpose (original intent). Success that is not aligned with your purpose is not your own success. I can go as far as saying; success not on your own terms is not success at all. Success is not the key to your purpose, but purpose is the key to your success. What I am trying to teach you is that, if you love what you are doing, you are bound to be successful. My dad once said that “the secret to success is constancy to your purpose.” Today we are going to look at 3 levels of success… Habit of Success Level 1 – Reliance Level To rely on something is to be dependent for support on that particular thing. People in this level depend on their purpose for success. Spending your life in level 1 is not bad but is still not good. This is a level where you are connected to your purpose, you in front and your purpose behind you. Any person who resides in level 1 only grows from one channel – average energy channel. This is a level where regardless of how much you work; your reward is set to match your role (not your output). If you work for a company that rewards you based on your role rather than your output, then your company only sees you and not your purpose. And just a warning…it is too easy to replace a person, but impossible to replace a purpose. Habit of Success Level 2 – Trust Level To trust is to rely (level 1) on the integrity, strength and ability of person or something. This is a good level to reside in, but it is still not great. The word trust originates from the word “treowian” which literally means to believe. This is a level where you begin to believe in your purpose, meaning that you have moved from the being in front of your purpose, to stand right next beside it. Any person who resides in level 2 has the ability to grow beyond their own energy. In this level, it’s not only your workload or output that determines your reward, but its your believe in your experience that determines how much you will be rewarded. The main objective for people in these level is to improve on the past, meaning that they use the past as a measure of how much further they can go. Warning for those who reside in this level….you future will always be limited by what you mind (past) sees, says and believes in. Habit of Success Level 3 – Submission Level To submit is to give over power or authority to another person or thing. People in this level no longer rely on their purpose, have gone past the stage of trusting/believing in their purpose, and now reside in a higher level, a level where they have placed (positioned) their purpose in front and them behind it. These are champions whose purpose defines who they are, to a point where their success lives beyond their own life. Any person who resides in level 3 will tell you that they are living in a state of prosperity. Rulers/Kings who live in this kingdom always demonstrate 2 key types of results: 1. They are fruitful and increase.a. Just like one mango seed can produce a 1 000 mango of trees, they have the ability to multiply their rewards. 2.Fill the earth and subdue it. a. They not only multiply, but are able to control their wealth. In conclusion of the habit of success principles Success does not come to you…you go after it…or rather; purpose is not something that you randomly choose…it’s a calling. Brothers and Sisters, the choice is yours; you can decide to spend your life on Level 1, 2 or 3. In my life, making a decision is no longer a starting block, but an end point….I decide while I am acting on my decision. Today, decide to move 1 level up, decide by acting on your words. Only people in level 3 understand me when I say that you can build on the ordinary and expect the extraordinary. Amen Bonnke Shipalana Copyright 2007
